Dagno started his football career at Sewe Sports de San Pedro, in Côte d'Ivoire Premier Division. Before moving to Thailand to join Muangthong United in 2008. Assisted Muangthong to won Division 1 Champions, and promoted to Thai Premier League. In that season, he played very strong in Centerback position.

But the following season, he was assigned to move higher and play in different roles. Mostly in Central midfielder position and some times as a Striker. Finally he became team’s top goal scorer. He scored 10 goals and led Muangthong to win Thai Premier League champions.

This 2010 season, at this moment he is a leader in Thai Premier League’s top scorer. He scored 7 goals from Central Midfield position.

Dagno capped for Côte d'Ivoire U-21, 8 times.

Thailand head coach, Bryan Robson had announced the final squad of 17 players for a friendly match against 2010 World cup’s host South Africa. The match will kick off 3.00 PM local time (8.00 PM Thailand time), this Sunday.

Thai Champions, Muangthong United secured tickets to quarter final stage of AFC Cup after a crucial winning over Qatar’s side Al Rayyan.

Both teams played with lack of some important players from injuries and bans, Al Rayyan without Cote d’Ivoire striker, Amara Diane and Brazilian defender, Marcelo Tavares. While Muangthong missed Captain - Natapon Phanrit, as well as team’s top scorer Soumahoro Yaya and Mohamed Kone.

Muangthong started the game with better performance. Striker Teerasil Dangda giving the lead in 17th minute. But five minutes before the break, Afonso Alves equalised for Rayyan from penalty kick after Daniel Goumou fouled by Jetsada Jitsawad inside the box. Half time score 1-1.

Both teams were still leveled in normal time. The match went to 30 minutes extra-time. It was the host, Al Rayyan who have more chance to score a winning goal, but fail to pass Muangthong goalkeeper, Kawin Thamsatchanan. Finally it’s a shootout to define a match winner.

Both Muangthong and Al Rayyan also missed the second penalty. Piyachart Thamaphan and Murad Naji sent the ball over the crossbar.

Phichitphong Choeichiu, 4th penalty taker from Muangthong converted into goal. But Daniel Goumou’s shot was saved by Kawin. gave the visitor chance to win. And finally, Teerasil Dangda scored winning penalty. Muangthong won the shootout 4-2.

Thai Champions, Muangthong United with 10-man left, secured vital 3 points. After a victory over unbeaten V.B. Sports from Maldives 3-1 at Yamaha Thunderdome Stadium last night.

The Twin Qilins play their first home game at Yamaha Thunderdome this season, facing the strong opponents from Maldives, who won all 2 games in group stage and stayed top of the table.

Muangthong United have a chance to lead in 30th minute, but Mohamed Kone’s spot kick was saved by Keeper Mohamed Imran. Anyway, after that 6 minutes, Soumahoro Yaya finally scores 1-0, a left-foot shot into far corner.

Muangthong should lead further, but V.B.’s keeper Imran does very good job. 1 minute before the break, the score become leveled. Striker Ali Ashfaq shoot pass Kawin, after a poor pass back from Muangthong right back, Pakasit. Gives half time score 1-1.

In second half, Muangthong still dominate in overall. Having several chances from Yaya, Kone, Datsakorn and Jakkraphan, but haven’t success. The situation become worse after the centerback Natapon Phanrit was sent off in 68th minute.

Even with down to 10 men, Muangthong are still in better position and finally score 2 goals in 3 minutes. By Mohamed Kone in 83rd and penalty kick from Teeratep Winothai in 85th minute. The match ends after 4 minutes of injury time and 3-1 is final score.

Chonburi FC secured 3 points in their new home ground and stayed top of Thai Premier League 2010, opening season. “The Sharks” defeated the new face, Royal Thai Army 3-0.

Ekaphan Inthasen scores from 6-yard header in 14th miniute, gives last season’s runner up lead 1-0 at half time.

Chonburi lead by 2-0 when Arthit Sunthornpit shoots inside penalty area in 58th minute. Before the veteran midfielder Therdsak Chaiman adds another goal in 87th minute, gives the final score 3-0.

The very first match for TPL season 2010. A clash between Sisaket FC versus Muangthong United, TPL 2009 champions. Sisaket FC are new face in TPL after finished 3rd place in Division1. “The dangerous Koupreys” never lost in home game last season.

But in 35th minute, It’s Christian Kouakou, Young Ivorian striker who scores a season opener. 1-0 for Muangthong United. Just few minutes later, it should be 2-0 for Champions, but the linesman refused Soumahoro Yaya‘s goal. Half time score Sisaket FC 0-1 Muangthong United.

Only 22 seconds after the break, Soumahoro Yaya finally scores. A classic lob over keeper then easily tap into an empty net. But in 65th minute, striker - Piyawat Thongman scores a superb goal for Koupreys, it’s Sisaket 1-2 Muangthong now. The crowds become lively again.
The Koupreys were playing better, creating more chance but cannot convert into a goal. Final score Sisaket FC 1-2 Muangthong United.

“The Twin Qilins” Muangthong United, 2009 Thai Premier League Champions held the press & fans conference at Siam Discovery center yesterday (Mar 8th) afternoon.

In the event which held at the prime & famous shopping area. Team executives announced their major goals for coming season, defending TPL champions as well as aiming in AFC Cup trophy. By upgrading team, not only signing new coach René Desaeyere from Belgium, but also a parade of new stars. Leading by Skillful playmaker Nobuyuki Zaizen from J-League’s Montedio Yamagata, dangerous striker Kone Mohamed from Chonburi FC and German star Berkant Göktan from TSV 1860 München

Muangthong United have made fantastic record. Winning 3 leagues in consecutive 3 years (Division 2 – 2007, Division 1 – 2008 and TPL – 2009)


This season, the home kits for MTU are in Red jerseys, same as previous season. Away kits are White, while 3rd kits are Black. All under Adidas brand.

In the event, the team also announced their sponsors for this season. Yamaha who will support 100 million baht within next 3 seasons follows by I-mobile and Coca-Cola.

Start playing football since he was nine. Spent time in England with youth team of Crystal Palace and Everton. Then returned to Thailand, joined BEC Tero Sasana in 2006. He became a crucial part of the team, scoring 22 goals in 2 seasons.

In season 2008-2009, he was trying his luck in European Football, join Belgian Division 2 side K.Lierse S.K. Unfortunately, he was not given much opportunities at K.Lierse. He scored once from only 6 times of appearances. After 6 months in Belgium, he decided to return Thailand again to boost up his confidence, signed 18 month loan contract with Muangthong United. And finally becoming one of Muangthong United’s Thai Premier League Champion 2009-2010 squad.

Teerathep capped for Thailand 37 times, scored 14 goals.

Thailand national team arriving Iran, their opponents in AFC Asian cup 2011 qualifier. The host, Iran already qualified as group E’s champion, but left 3 candidates fighting for only 1 place to join the final round in Qatar next year.

Thailand victory over Iran will secure a ticket to the finals. A draw will also set Thailand through, if Jordan and Singapore end in a draw. Both matches will play in the same time on March 3rd night. Mr.Abdullah Dor Mohammad Balideh from Qatar will be a match referee for Iran v Thailand match.

Iran will not get Thailand easily pass, all key players were called up for this match. Javad Nekounam and Masoud Shojaei from Spainish liga’s Osasuna also picked, Andranik Teymourian from Fulham including veteran midfielder Ali Karimi who formerly played for German Bundesliga’s Bayern Munich are also in the squad.

Thailand still missed no.10 striker Teerasil Dangda due to a knee injury. Bryan Robson, Thai head coach can only depend on Teerathep Winothai to create scoring chances.

“The Glass Rabbits” Bangkok Glass FC officially launch their new kits for the coming 2010 season. The press & fans conference held at Future Park Rangsit shopping mall yesterday (Feb 24th)

The home kits are in white & green, same as previous season. But away kits are totally changed from red to brighter, blue color. Which is quite impressive to the fans, all 1,000 of new jerseys were sold out in less than 30 minutes.

In the event, the team also announced their new sponsors for this season. Leo beer, the major fund provider follows by Regency brandy, Suzuki, Umbro and Vitamilk.

Here come Queen’s cup champions, Krungthai BG FC

Krungthai Bangkok Glass FC made their new history, grab 34th Queen’s Cup trophy for a very first time, after easy victory over Insee Police United 4-1 on Feb 18, at IPE Chonburi stadium.

First half is quite an even game. Both teams have chances to score but the keepers are doing well to keep a clean sheet. Just few minutes before break, referee dismisses 1 from each side. Rabbit’s striker Ney Fabiano clashed with Cop’s centerback Payungsak Pannarat. Half time score 0-0.

Second half, Ajayi Gbenga comes in to replace Saran Promkaew and then makes magnificent change to the game. In 48th minute of the game, first goal arrives when he passed to “Paul” Bekombo Ekollo scores, 1-0 for Krungthai BG. Then explosive winger “Anawin Jujeen” scores 2-0 in 53rd minute.

Police United also fight back and Tanapat Na Tarue scores 1-2, 9 minutes later. But Anawin make a further gap by scoring 3-1 in 65th minute. Finally, Ajayi made it secured when scores in 75th minute, 4-1 for final score. Krungthai BG grab the trophy for the first time in club history after founded in 1977.

Krungthai Bangkok Glass FC are going to play 34th Queen’s Cup Final with Insee Police United tonight, 6.00PM at IPE Chonburi.

The rabbits are in better side, lead by lethal attacking troops - Ney Fabiano, Sutee Suksomkit, Ajayi Gbenga and Saruta Hironori. But the Cops won’t let them take a trophy easily. Police United will have to play a defensive game.

Krungthai BG FC will miss a centerback “Rungroch Sawangsri” (red card from match against Navy Rayong), but there shouldn’t be big impact. Both Amnaj Kaewkiew & Panuwat Failai can be a well-organize.

Kawin Thammasatchanan is a Thai footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Thai club Muangthong United. He has represented his country at U-23 and main level respectively.
Kawin started his senior career with Raj Pracha and remained there for one year before moving to Division 1 club Muangthong United who was the winners in that season and won the Thai Premier League after they promoted for the first time.
Kawin had debut his first international caps in King's Cup 2009 against Singapore at Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Bangkok Glass triumph into Queen’s cup Final

Bangkok Glass FC who entered the tournament as Krungthai BG FC secured tickets to 34th Queen’s cup Final after a close victory over Navy Rayong FC 2-1 on 16 February.

The glass rabbit deserved their win, creating more chances. But the Navy also fought with strength and team spirit. The Brazilian striker Ney Fabiano scores first goal of the game in 32’, an easy header made 1-0 as first half’s score.

12 minutes after the break, Navy Rayong FC leveled by a substituted-in striker Wuttichai Asucheewa. Game became more entertaining now, both were playing an attacking game but still not able to hit the nets.

It seems the match end with a draw and have to be decided by shootouts, but left back Supachai Komsilp scores an injury time-winning goal, just few minutes before final whistle. 2-1 is the final score.

Krungthai BG FC will play Insee Police United in 34th Queen’s Cup Final at IPE Chonburi on Feb 18th 6.00 PM.
